🟡 Opel Corsa D 1.3 CDTi timing chain failure — known fault

Catastrophic timing chain failure on the Opel Corsa D 1.3 CDTi (Z13DTH/A13DTE engine). The timing chain can fail with little warning — sometimes only a brief rattling noise before the chain snaps. The chain is driven by a hydraulic tensioner that requires adequate oil pressure to function. Low oil level, degraded oil, or extended service intervals dramatically increase failure risk. This engine is used in Vauxhall Corsa, Fiat Punto, Alfa Romeo MiTo — all are affected.
