🟢 Citroen C4 Mk2 1.6 HDi fuel injector return pipe failure

Diesel fuel smell inside the cabin and from the engine bay. Fuel level dropping faster than expected. The plastic fuel injector return pipes on the 1.6 HDi engine (DV6C) crack and split with age, leaking diesel fuel onto the engine. This is a fire risk and should be repaired immediately. The return pipe kit is inexpensive. The repair is straightforward and takes 30-60 minutes. Always replace the complete return pipe set rather than individual pipes — the plastic hardens uniformly with age.
