Engine vibrates or shakes noticeably when at idle with car stationary. May feel rough through the steering wheel, floor and seat. This fault code is stored when the engine control unit detects a specific fault condition. Common causes include sensor failures, wiring faults, and component wear. Always read additional fault codes before replacing parts — multiple codes together provide a clearer diagnosis. Clear the code after repair and test drive to confirm the fault does not return.

✅ FixedThrottle body clean — idle smooth after 5 minutes work
Engine shaking at idle, felt like it was struggling. Before spending money I cleaned the throttle body with some throttle cleaner spray and an old toothbrush. Took 5 minutes with the air intake removed. Idle immediately smoother. Worth trying before changing any parts.
Engine shaking at idle, felt like it was about to stall. Plugs were original at 60,000 miles. Replaced all 4 plugs and while I was in there replaced the coil packs too as they were cheap. Idle is now completely smooth, fuel economy up noticeably.
Parts replaced: 4x spark plugs, 4x ignition coil packs
