Peugeot 3008 1.5 BlueHDi EAT8 automatic transmission fault
The EAT8 8-speed automatic transmission on the Peugeot 3008 1.5 BlueHDi can shudder or hesitate during low-speed gear changes. The EAT8 (Aisin AW8F35) is a proven unit but is sensitive to fluid condition. Transmission fluid changes every 60,000 km are critical. PSA dealers also have TCU software updates available that improve shift quality. If shudder is severe, the torque converter may require replacement.
