Transmission warning light and jerking on the Jeep Renegade 1.4 MultiAir with the DDCT dual-dry-clutch transmission. The DDCT is made by Fiat and is shared with Fiat 500X and Alfa Romeo MiTo. It shares the same low-speed shudder characteristics as other DCT designs. A TCU software update from a Jeep/Fiat dealer reduces the shudder. Severe cases require clutch pack replacement. The DDCT fluid should be changed every 50,000 km — Fiat/Jeep dealers often omit this from standard service.
