Hyundai Tucson Mk4 1.6 CRDi 7DCT shudder fault
Shudder and vibration through the drivetrain when pulling away at low speed, particularly when cold. The 7-speed dual clutch transmission on the Mk4 Tucson 1.6 diesel has the same fundamental low-speed sensitivity as other DCT designs. A TCU software calibration update from Hyundai dealers significantly reduces the shudder frequency. Ensuring the DCT fluid is changed at the specified 60,000 km interval prevents the shudder worsening.
