The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the brand's compact executive car, spanning generations from the W202 (1993) through to the current W206. It competes with the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. The W204 and W205 generations are the most common on the road today, available with a wide range of petrol, diesel, and later hybrid powertrains.

Common issues: Common C-Class faults vary by generation. The W204 C220 CDI is known for OM651 injector copper washer leaks and timing chain tensioner wear. The W205 introduced the 9G-Tronic transmission which is sensitive to fluid quality. All C-Class diesel models benefit from proactive EGR valve cleaning.
